Suozzi takes Property Tax Issue to North Country

On January 15th, Tom Suozzi traveled to Plattsburgh, NY to speak to the Plattsburgh North Country Chamber of Commerce about his work on the Governor's Commission on Property Tax Relief.  About 80 members, ranging from business leaders to school officials, were in attendance.  Tom discussed how property taxes in New York are a statewide systemic problem that affects both residents downstate and upstate.  Residents across the state need to team together to get behind the Commission's recommendations and the Governors plan in order to deliver the message to Albany that property taxes can not continue to rise.  Continuing to increase property taxes will only lead to residents being taxed out of their homes and out of our state.

OUR PROPERTY TAXES ARE HIGH DUE TO THE FOLLOWING :
1)SPINELESS POLITICIANS WHO ARE RELUCTANT TO FIGHT THE TEACHERS UNION.
2)TEACHERS SHOULD BE PAYING AT LEAST 30% OF THEIR HEALTH INS PREMIUMS
3)WHAT DO THE SUPERINTENDENTS DO?
WE DO NOT NEED SO MANY.
4)NO MORE TENURE.
5)HOLD TEACHERS SALARY .THEY ARE GROSSLY OVERPAID.
IF THEY DONT LIKE IT LET THEM FIND JOBS IN THE PRIVATE INDUSTRY.
